2023-2024 Sponsorships will directly help us fund a permanent water connection to the park, improving our functionality and ability to care for this wahi pana and the Native Hawaiian plants that call this place home.

ʻEwa ʻakoko over a cultural site

ʻEwa ʻakoko $20,000

Critically endangered and endemic to the ʻEwa moku, the ʻEwa ʻakoko is one of our most cherished plants. The Kalaeloa Heritage Park is one of the last, if not the only, place that ʻEwa ʻakoko still grows in the wild. As an ʻEwa ʻAkoko sponsor, your organization will receive all the benefits of the ʻEwa Hinahina, Koʻoloa ʻula, ʻEwa Naio, and Maiapilo sponsorships PLUS:

  • Field Trip for Schools Sponsorship: Gives three (3) groups of 90 students from a local school of your choice the opportunity to experience the park. Includes three (3) press releases and photos.

  • Permanent name plaque in the kauhale

ʻEwa Hinahina plant

ʻEWA HINAHINA
$10,000

Although endangered with its true name lost to time, the ʻEwa (ʻā)hinahina still flourishes at the Kalaeloa Heritage Park. As an ʻEwa Hinahina Sponsor, your organization will receive all the benefits of the Koʻoloaʻula, ʻEwa Naio, and Maiapilo sponsorships PLUS:

  • Sitewide logo placement on the KHLF website for one (1) calendar year

  • School Field Trip Sponsorship: Gives one (1) group of 90 students from a local school of your choice the opportunity to experience the park. Includes press release and photos.

  • Naming rights for plants or significant features (i.e., benches, canopied areas, etc.)

Blooming red koʻoloaʻula flower

KOʻOLOA ʻULA
$7,500

Often mistaken as red ʻilima, the koʻoloa ʻula blooms with beautiful dark red flowers. As an endangered native plant, the koʻoloa ʻula thrive at the Kalaeloa Heritage Park. As a Koʻoloa ʻula Sponsor, your organization will receive all the benefits of the ʻEwa Naio and Maiapilo sponsorships PLUS:

  • An upcycled kiawe wood with company or organization name installed in an area of the park of your choice for one (1) calendar year

Keiki ʻEwa Naio plant

ʻEWA NAIO
$5,000

Naio is a common tree found all over the pae ʻāina o Hawaiʻi, however; the Kalaeloa Heritage Park is home to a naio species that is endemic to the ʻEwa moku. The ʻEwa naio flowers have a sweet smell, similar to sandalwood. As an ʻEwa Naio Sponsor, your organization will receive all the benefits of the Maiapilo PLUS:

  • Dedicated Sponsor page on the KHLF website for one (1) calendar year

  • Authorization to set up informational booth on KHP grounds and approval to distribute sponsoring organization’s marketing materials to event attendees, on a per event basis

Blooming white maiapilo flower

MAIAPILO
$3,000

Known most for its beautiful, show-stopping flowers, the maiapilo catches the eye of any visitors to the park. The pua bloom white in the morning and slowly turn pink throughout the day. As a Maiapilo Sponsor, your organization will receive:

  • License to use KHLF and KHP branding and likeness in sponsoring organizations marketing materials for period of one (1) calendar year

  • Logo on KHLF Sponsor page for one (1) calendar year
